Portraying to the next generation

I thought this would be a good spot for a rant..
I was in a facility last week around 5:30pm. And one of the black ladies that worked there had her daughters/granddaughters there just before she got off of work. The 2 girls were 5 and a 6 year olds. Another black lady that I think worked there also, asked the girls their age, then the other lady went on to say "you look nice and chocolate"....
WTF.... That would be like me being white talking to 2 white kids and saying "you look nice and vanilla".... Sounds phucked up to me.
BY that comment she made, what are they portraying to their kids???
And "they" blame the whites or should I say "vanilla's"...
Ok end of rant.....
