Woods Buggy

The picture shows the woods buggy I built back in 74/75. I went from boyhood to redneckhood on this project and I never looked back. Did'nt have no money for parts so I made up the parts I needed. And for those store bought parts and materials, I collected and sold scrap metal.. Those were the days...

Nope. That buggy is long gone..
What set that buggy from the rest of the pack was I installed a transporter transaxle in it. Wheelies in all 4 gears if need be.
Fisrt gear almost useless for a buggy, like the granny gear on a truck.

Yes Dixe I had many hours of fun. Then I sold it and got into offroad cycling, which was fun also. But now I have no "fun" machine :(

At one point in time this was one of three fun machines I had.. I liked bushogging..

For those that are interested, the transporter van you see here was the donner of the transaxle. Notice the gear reduction box on the inner side of the brake backing plate. That makes all the difference for true off road excitement..

This is the first major project I did. Yepper I think this is what got me into doing what I do. God planted that seed in me of being (mechanically inclined)...

This is me back in 1974 with my "made from scratch" buggy...
